Theft of Motor Vehicle

Dear Resident

Recently there have been three vehicle's stolen from the Borehamwood area:

41/48065/25- Carrington Avenue

Between 20:00 on the 25th May 2025 and 08:14 on the 26th May 2025 a red Mercedes C220 was stolen.

41/50618/25- Thurston Way

Between 22:00 on 01st June 2025 and 06:30 on 2nd June 2025 a black BMW X2 SDRIVE was stolen.

41/50670/25- Tempsford Avenue

Between 18:00 on 2nd June 2025 and 14:15 on 3rd June 2025 a Honda motorcycle was stolen.

Tips to prevent vehicle crime:

Ensure you lock doors and shut windows/sunroof when leaving your vehicle unattended.

Always remove keys from the ignition when you are not with the vehicle

When parking, remember to set your immobiliser or alarm or use an approved steering lock or gear lever clamp.

Never leave valuables in your vehicle – not even in the glove box or boot – and keep all possessions out of sight – even coats, sunglasses and carrier bags.

Be aware of your keys. Don’t leave them visible on a windowsill or near to your front door, where they could be “hooked” through the letterbox.

If you have a keyless entry car use a signal blocking bag.

Store car ownership documents at home, not in your car.
